Achievements
Conducted oxygen assessments and cost analysis of current oxygen systems in 18 health facilities, resulting in a monthly oxygen need estimation, identification of system inefficiencies, and recommendations to improve liquid oxygen affordability and availability.
Engaged with both demand and supply-side stakeholders and held consultations with country’s oxygen suppliers to explore investment opportunities in liquid oxygen.
Produced a detailed report documenting the current national oxygen situation and oxygen investment options, which the Ministry of Health and Social Services will use to advise facilities on optimizing their oxygen production and storage solutions.
Assessed the feasibility of medical-grade oxygen production at a local oxygen-generating air separation unit and found that domestic production is possible if existing pressure swing absorption (PSA) plants are replaced or repaired, new PSA plants are opened, and if local production of medical-grade liquid oxygen is established.
