Achievements

Administered 3,560 COVID-19 vaccine doses through school-based campaigns, door-to-door visits, community outreach and engagement, and demand creation through social and traditional media.

Strengthened COVID-19 vaccination data collection by developing a DHIS2 tracker app that was used by COVID-19 vaccine demand generation and vaccination teams; conducted refresher trainings on DHIS2 to improve data quality; and conducted routine data quality assessments.

Collaborated with the Expanded Program Immunization to integrate COVID-19 vaccination into other routine vaccination and primary health care services, including development of COVID-19 vaccine integration guidelines.

Conducted a rapid a nationwide biomedical equipment (BME) inventory assessment and gap analysis at 25 hospitals and associated clinic-level facilities. The results are being used by the Ministry of Heath to strengthen BME management, address other system-related barriers to oxygen availability, and create a national medical oxygen cylinder registry.

Completed a medical liquid oxygen supplier landscaping assessment for the Lesotho market and facilitated price review discussions about liquid oxygen between the Ministry of Health and an existing supplier in an effort to improve pricing and sustainable market conditions for medical oxygen.
