The Philippines continues to face an increase in COVID-19 cases and challenges in managing critically ill patients. To augment the knowledge gap and learn from evidence-based practices, USAID and FHI 360, in collaboration with the Department of Health and the Philippine College of Chest Physicians, co-hosted a town-hall webinar, “COVID-19 Strategies and Management: Hits and Misses” on March 25th.

In this webinar, we discuss critical care assessment and management of individuals affected by COVID-19. More than 250 pulmonologists and physicians participated in the live virtual event. Dr. Lundy Campbell, an anesthesiologist-intensivist from the University of California San Francisco, shared knowledge and experiences related to COVID-19 management. Dr. Jubert Benedicto, EpiC project technical team lead, shared experiences with use of USAID‑donated ventilators. Global and local context was provided during the Q&A session.
