Effective solutions are needed to build health care systems that support equitable access for all. This is especially true for key populations, who often experience stigma and discrimination when accessing health services. This webinar shared the World Health Organization’s latest technical brief, Ensuring Quality Health Care by Reducing HIV-Related Stigma and Discrimination, and highlighted practical approaches countries have used to reduce HIV-related stigma within health care systems, structures, facilities, and communities. Most importantly, the discussion spotlighted how countries have identified opportunities to foster more inclusive, supportive health services for all.

This enables KPs to receive ART services in their community setting, from KP-friendly healthcare providers. The services are free from stigma and discrimination, long distance from households to health facilities, and unfriendly providers. (Photo credit: Agness John for FHI 360)
